My Name is Ryan.

It’s a generic name, once ranked in the top 20 most common names from ‘76 until 2010, but only ranked in the top 100 as of 2020.

I don’t feel very generic, though. Then again, I don’t think the rest of my brethren Ryans do, either. There’s a gathering over 200 of them every month or so in and around Brooklyn, NY. No BRYAN/BRIANS allowed. I haven’t made it to one yet.

I’ve been a writer since I was six years old; me an’ the ol’ pen became real close while bumpin’ nasties in the hectic turbulance of my life, stuck between outlandish thoughts and romantic ideations. I’ve been an artist since I was 3, using materials as the dart board for my brains relentless imaginings.

At the age of 13, I got into marketing and promotions out of happenstance. I had a lot of great friends in a lot of great bands that I believed in, and when they would play shows at big venues, I’d come up with offbeat strategies to get people to listen to their demos and buy their merch. I sold em’ out, got recognized, and began down this career path. At 35, I now have 22 years in the field and have been trusted and praised by such companies as Nintendo, Samsung, Genshin Impact, and Advil.

At the age of 15, I got into conventions, and started to study their inner workings, taking on different roles within them for the next decade. By the age of 28, I found I had an affinity for Operations, and started my own Operations team with a friend. In our 8 years of working Operations, we have been praised by numerous conventions and events on the East Coast, and even saved a few who had suffered from an inexperienced Operations Team. We now offer consultations, and many other Event services.

I’ve been an actor since the age of 13, appearing on stage and on film in plays you may have heard of and not seen, and movies you may have never watched. Though I am still unrecognized in the larger world of acting, I have received amazing compliments from those who have seen me, most notably - for my role of Lucky, in Waiting for Godot that earned favorable comparisons to the Broadway performance.

Since I could remember, I’ve been an adventurer. I’ve believed and realized this world is full of stories, and have always enjoyed finding them and being a part of them. I think this aspect of me lends itself to all of the aspects of me I listed above, and it is the driving force behind me being here now. Small little intersections fill this world between people who unwittingly or purposefully share in moments that may end up transient or substantial to their future or the future of others. I hope that this site serves as one of those spaces, where you can learn and read about my travels, or help me help you by lending my services, and we can build a little of our stories together.

My name is Ryan. My name is generic, but I hope this future we make is anything but. Welcome to the open road, penned between us.
